Dairy Cow Isopods (Porcellio laevis)
Add personality and bold patterning to your bioactive setup with our Dairy Cow Isopods, Porcellio laevis. Known for their large size, gentle temperament, and distinctive black-and-white markings, Dairy Cows are a favorite for display tanks and cleanup crews alike.
 
Each culture comes in an 8-ounce plastic jar containing around 20 mixed-age isopods, along with a starter mix of decomposing leaves, sweetgum seed pods, acorn caps, and springtails to support them during transit and kickstart their new home after they arrive. This small jar is not intended for long-term housing, but it will safely hold your colony for a period after arrival while you prepare their permanent enclosure.
Dairy Cow Isopods are active, hardy, and excellent at breaking down organic waste, making them ideal for larger bioactive enclosures, reptiles, amphibians, or simply as a fun, standalone culture.
