Microscopic Life

The greatest number of organisms that make up any natural ecosystem are hidden out of sight living in a beautifully complex microscopic world. These amazing creatures compete with one another for resources to create a balance within their environment. Simply put the more biodiversity in your aquarium the better. A large diverse group of microorganisms living in a natural style fish tank will create the perfect living conditions for fish to thrive in. Your fish will be feasting on the buffet of critters that are supported by a large food web.

Below are photos taken with our microscope of a few microorganisms that make up our freshwater ecosystems. The samples were taken from our fish breeding system, microfauna tanks and algae scrubber. We will continue to photograph what we see through the lens and post it here for your enjoyment.
